We are enjoying some early summer time weather here in metro Detroit. To celebrate, Thai Lemongrass and our summer-time hit, Copacabana, are back in stock! Grab them up as we’re putting only a limited amount online in anticipation of our upcoming festival and market season.
We can hardly believe it, but it’s almost market season again! We’ve been planning out new batches and trying to get the curing rack filled up so we’re ready for not only our weekly farmers market but some new festivals that we’ve arranged to participate in this year. More details about that later.
Curing right now:
Baby Face - creamy goat milk, soothing herbs, and just a sprinkle of lavender oil for even the most sensitive skin.
Blackberry Basil – Our market customers can’t get enough of this blend. I wouldn’t dare start out the season without a ton of B3!
Copacabana – Sun-ripened pears team up with warm coconut and ground luffa to maintain that summer glow.
Fire & Ice – a must have for the sandal season. We use redistilled peppermint oil and fine pumice powder make even the roughest heels behave.
Hippie Chick – awesome myriad of psychedelic colors with smooth aged patchouli oil. Groovy.
Honey Lager - We’ve tweaked this one just ever so slightly. The beer is more concentrated so more hops. We added more soothing marshmallow root and other facial worthy herbs along with a fair amount of clay to make this a kick-butt shaving soap.
La Vie en Rose – We searched for years for the best, most realistic rose fragrance. This is it!
Raspberry & Cream - Imagine a bowl full of the finest vanilla bean ice cream drizzled with sweet raspberry syrup. Delectable.
Thai Lemongrass – this has been out of stock for… well, forever! No fear, we are doubling our batch size on this bestseller.
Tonic – a little makeover on this already popular bar. I’ve added spa-quality dead sea mud and more yummy face-lovin’ herbs to make this a great complexion bar.
Yuzu – yummy, bright citrusy goodness!
Unnamed #1 – Bug repelling essential oils – smells somewhat like an herbal tea blend that I can’t put my finger on. Added a touch of calendula – just for fun.
Unnamed #2 – Light and airy, fruity yet not too sweet. Can’t wait to give this one a try.

Most of these are not ready for sale yet – you’ll find links to those that have some soaps available from earlier batches. We’ll make an announcement here as soon as the others are ready for sale. We’ll also have a bunch of new stuff in the works in the upcoming weeks so check back often!
Bonnie of Holden’s Landing, an amazing woman who produces the finest in cloth diapers, children’s clothing, organic bedding and more, wrote up a glowing mention of our soap on her business blog. Not only that, she’s hosting a giveaway of one of our pumpkin spice bars. Please take a moment to read her blog and follow the steps to participate in her giveaway. Become a fan on Facebook and follow her blog. You’ll be supporting yet another fabulous home-based business.

I can personally attest that Bonnie’s diapers are to die for – her Bedbugs kept Ryan and I sane when Ben was soaking through diapers on a nightly basis. Her diapers let us all sleep through the night for the first time ever! Her luscious OBV bedding is on my wishlist (are you reading this, Ryan??) for every special occasion.

We’re busy bees in the Relic workshop! We have 24 new batches currently being tested. No spoilers just yet – but some of them are sure fire winners! Stay tuned!
Relic Soap Company is the featured artisan this week on the Etsy HC Street Team blog.
We’re hosting a giveaway! Enter to win two sea salt bars and a sustainable cedar soap dish. Good luck!
