This weekend is a fun-filled here in Farmington. Tonight is the Harvest Moon Dance – a great time for adults 21 and over to enjoy live music and local food and spirits. Not only did we attend last year, but I volunteered a few hours selling wine and beer tickets. It’s a great way to meet new people and chat with your neighbors. Since it falls on Ben’s birthday this year, we opted to skip this year but I’m sure we’ll back next year! If you go, thank the volunteers for their dedication. Without them, this celebration could not happen. They put in an incredible amount of work on this event and deserve some kudos!
Believe it or not, the farmers market opens the morning after the dance (pretty amazing, right?) and will be a day of harvest time celebration. We will be making soap at various times during the market. If you’ve ever been curious about how the process works, come and see our demonstration. We’ll walk you through the whole process! This event is weather permitting – if it’s raining, we’ll hold off on making soap but we’ll still have the equipment and some recently made soaps out for you to take a look at. Join us!
